Taylor Hathorn

Taylor serves as the director of alumni relations for Young America’s Foundation where she engages alumni through YAF events and initiatives within the Conservative Movement.

Taylor spent the last five years working in donor relations and communications in both higher education and veteran’s initiatives. She comes to YAF most recently from the White House Historical Association where she served as the director of donor relations for the leading resource on White House art and history.

Taylor’s interest in policy and public service ignited in high school when she traveled from the United Arab Emirates to Washington, D.C. to attend two conferences focusing on global initiatives. Taylor parlayed that passion into working on successful gubernatorial and United States Senate races during her undergraduate career. Taylor was first introduced to Young America’s Foundation when she helped to lay the groundwork for the establishment of the YAF chapter at the University of Tennessee, attending CPAC in 2011.

Taylor received her Bachelor of Science in communication as well as her master’s degree in public policy and administration from the University of Tennessee, where she also taught two undergraduate courses on business ethics.

Taylor is originally from southeast Texas and has a family farm in central Louisiana that she enjoys traveling to. She spent a large portion of her childhood in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Kuwait City, Kuwait. Taylor also interned prior to the 2012 Olympics in London as well as at the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Taylor sits on the MPPA Board of Advisors for the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, the board of Land Grant Films, and is a member of the Junior League of Washington, D.C.

The daughter of educators, Taylor comes from a family of public servants and originates her passion for the Conservative Movement through the leadership demonstrated by her family and their dedication to the communities that they live in. She is incredibly proud of her sister who is in nursing school and brothers, both of whom are United States Marines. Taylor is a fierce advocate for veteran and active service member support.

Taylor enjoys live music, playing golf, carrying out her Second Amendment rights, and watching her Dallas Cowboys on their journey to another Super Bowl victory.
