Mary is a rising junior at Grove City College, studying political science with minors in economics and sociology. She first came to know about Young America’s Foundation through her professor, Dr. Paul Kengor, who is also a longtime YAF ally and frequent speaker.

Mary grew up in a conservative home but her schooling lacked a sufficient civics course. Consequently, she did not begin learning about public policy or the Conservative Movement until entering Grove City College.

Although she grew up going to Grove City Christian Academy— a private school in her town— Mary has experienced, firsthand, the leftist orientation of her friends who were educated in surrounding public schools. Mary looks forward to helping YAF expand its audience to more young Americans, recognizing that its mission is crucial now more than ever.

At Grove City, Mary is a member of the International Justice Mission chapter, active in her campus NEW chapter, and a student assistant for President Paul J. McNulty (former U.S. Deputy Attorney General under George W. Bush.) In the fall, she will serve as a research fellow for the Center for Vision & Values— the college’s conservative think tank.
