Blake Weiner is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he is studying history and political science and serves as chairman of the university’s YAF chapter.
Blake came to conservatism in middle school after reading several speeches by President Ronald Reagan. He attended his first YAF event at the University of Wisconsin as a high school junior and joined the chapter on his first day on campus. Since then, he has worked at nearly half a dozen internships throughout the Conservative Movement. Under his leadership, the Wisconsin YAF chapter has brought conservative speakers such as Jonah Goldberg and Governor Scott Walker to campus and has participated in YAF initiatives, including Freedom Week.
Blake is also co-founder and editor-in-chief at the Wisconsin Standard, a digital conservative student newspaper, and a co-founder and editing coordinator of the Wisconsin Journal of Public Affairs, an undergraduate public policy journal. He is a brother of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and also enjoys golf, reading, and cheering for Wisconsin sports teams.
