YAF Conference Director and the Director of the Reagan Ranch

Job Summary

YAF is seeking a program officer to support the Director of the Reagan Ranch and YAF’s Conference Director with student conferences and programs, especially those occurring at the RRC and the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon, Illinois.

The ideal candidate would have previous YAF involvement and experience running a conservative club, including organizing campus events and lectures.  He or she would also possess a strong knowledge of conservative ideas and adherence to the Conservative Movement, and experience in an office environment.

The program officer will work in close collaboration with YAF team members across the nation and will stay in close communication with students nationwide to help promote YAF campus activism, with a noted emphasis on students at schools in Southern California.  He or she must possess a profound commitment to identifying, activating, and inspiring student leaders, as well as a strong desire to preserve and share the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

 

Responsibilities

  • Recruit the best and brightest students to become involved in YAF student conferences, internships, and the larger Conservative Movement local programs.
  • Visit and cultivate new YAF leaders, build essential relationships, provide excellent support to local YAF chapters, and grow the number of YAF chapters in Western States.
  • Assist YAF conference directors in planning, scheduling, executing, and recruiting for YAF conferences across the country.
  • Find creative ways to introduce increasing numbers of students to President Reagan’s ideas and values.
  • Maintain and update database of YAF student leaders and ensure information is communicated to other YAF colleagues.
  • Work with YAF’S social media team to maintain and grow the success of YAF communications and outreach, including the Reagan Ranch Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
  • Write about select YAF programs for the YAF website and other YAF publications.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Self-motivated, organized, and flexible
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Ability to work as a collaborative, constructive team member
  • Total commitment to compliance with YAF policies and procedures as set forth in the YAF Staff Manual
