Heidi Thom joins the Foundation’s team as a program assistant. In this role, she helps organize and facilitate the Foundation’s programs for high school and college students.

Heidi is originally from Billings, Montana, and graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, in 2018 with degrees in marketing and graphic design. During her time at Whitworth, she served as the president of Students for Life and vice president of Whitworth’s YAF chapter.

As vice president of Whitworth YAF, Heidi helped host a number of events, including a Second Amendment panel of professors and law enforcement officials and YAF’s 9/11: Never Forget Project display and memorial. She also organized a lecture featuring bestselling author and YAF alumnus Jason Mattera, who spoke on how the Left creates a campus of self-righteous victims. This successful lecture earned her chapter Young Americans for Freedom’s “Chapter of the Month” recognition in December 2018.

As president of Students for Life, Heidi hosted events, organized activism efforts, and grew the pro-life group in the midst of a controversy over Planned Parenthood’s presence and involvement at the Christian university.

During her time at Whitworth University, Heidi also studied abroad at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Prior to joining the Foundation’s staff, Heidi worked for Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers and interned at the Heritage Foundation as part of their Young Leaders Program.
