Young America’s Foundation Deploys Lt. Col. Allen West to Promote Freedom Behind Enemy Lines on Nationwide Campus Tour

West is set to headline a YAF lecture tour of ten schools in 2016-2017

Young America’s Foundation (YAF) and Lieutenant Colonel Allen West are excited to announce Lt. Col. West’s nationwide tour of America’s embattled campuses this school year through YAF’s Fred Allen Lecture Series. West, who has successfully brought conservative ideas to many campuses in recent years through YAF-organized appearances, will travel to ten schools across the country. His service to our nation and reputation for pulling no punches uniquely equip him to communicate conservative ideas in a powerful and persuasive way, especially on liberal territory.

During his two-decade career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones and received many honors. In November 2010, West continued his oath of service to his country when he was elected to the United States Congress, representing Florida’s 22^nd District. He is currently the executive director and chairman of the board for National Center for Policy Analysis, a Fox News contributor, and a senior fellow at the London Center for Policy Research. “Allen West is immensely successful in inspiring students with conservative ideas. We know from years of experience that students leave his lectures with concrete tools to promote their values,” said Ron Robinson, president of Young America’s Foundation. “The Foundation is grateful to Fred Allen for providing so many young Americans with the opportunity to learn from such a distinguished patriot, especially in this important year.” In a video statement to students, Lt. Col. West remarked, “I am looking so forward to the fact that Mr. Fred Allen has established a ten lecture series where I can go around to all these different campuses, jump in behind enemy lines, and support you in your efforts to defeat progressive socialism. So, sign me up to come to your campus.” Lt. Col. West is already set to speak at Wilkes University, the University of Notre Dame, and Gonzaga University this fall, with more schools to be announced in the coming days. The Fred Allen Lecture Series previously featured conservative powerhouse Ben Shapiro and drew hundreds of thousands of online viewers, earning coverage from Fox News, USA Today, the Washington Post, and other leading outlets. This is the latest in a long line of programs offered by Young America’s Foundation providing students with substantial financial resources to promote conservatism on campuses.
