After Sarah Telle attended the Foundation’s National High School Leadership Conference, she was inspried to make sure those who were murdered on September 11 were not forgotten. Her YAF chapter worked hard to bring the 9/11: Never Forget Project to schools across her county. Her efforts were covered extensively both locally and on YAF.org.
This week, Sarah received a special thank you from the first responders who were involved with the program. Quoted in the local paper, Sarah said, “It was really hard, but at the same time rewarding. By the time we got it all done and had gotten together with the emergency responders, as well as all the other people involved, it was absolutely a phenomenal project to be involved with. To be able to teach about 9/11 and see the responses on the faces of the children and those in the community, we just feel very blessed to have been a part of it.”
