Abby Streu is a rising junior at the University of Wisconsin–Madison studying economics and journalism. Abby became involved with Young Americans for Freedom her freshman year of college and, as outreach chair, immediately began participating in activism and Wisconsin YAF events, including the planning of their Ben Shapiro lecture. She attended her first Young America’s Foundation conference that November. The spring of her freshman year, Abby was elected chairman of her YAF chapter. Since then, she has brought Katie Pavlich and Dennis Prager to her campus for successful lectures. She has led Wisconsin YAF in multiple activism projects such as Freedom Week, Liberal March Madness, and the GPA Redistribution project. Wisconsin YAF has been featured in multiple local and national news stories and was named Chapter of the Month in November by Young America’s Foundation. Abby also serves on the Young Americans for Freedom Board of Governors. Abby is involved in her church and the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute. In addition to campus activism, Abby also enjoys writing, reading, and playing music on the piano and marimba. She is extremely grateful to William and Berniece Grewcock and Young America’s Foundation for the opportunity to intern at YAF HQ this summer.
