Karl Stahlfeld joins Young America’s Foundation as the associate director of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise. Originally from Seattle, Washington, he graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in math and economics and a master’s degree in applied economics. During his time at the University of Alabama, Karl was a member of the university’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter, serving as its treasurer his final year on campus. His chapter brought to campus speakers such as Lt. Col. Allen West, Senator Rick Santorum, and Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro. Karl also represented his YAF chapter in their debates with other public policy organizations on campus. TheUniversity of Alabama recognized the YAF chapter as one of its outstanding student organizations on campus his senior year. Karl has also been involved in the Conservative Movement outside of campus. Shortly after he graduated from the University of Alabama, he testified before the Alabama state legislature in favor of a campus free speech bill. Additionally, he worked forSenator Cruz during the 2016 Presidential cycle. A former semipro baseball player, Karl’s spare time is filled with going to baseball games, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
