Following the announcement that Osama Bin Laden has been killed by the U.S. Navy Seals, conservative activists at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee have set up 3,000 flags, each one representing a victim of 9/11, on campus to remember those murdered almost ten years ago.
The club used the flags they previously had on display for their 9/11: Never Forget Project display in the fall semester.
Club president Kate Edwards said that the response so far has been fantastic and that she hopes to keep the display up all week. Kate said that, “We put up the flags to show our deep gratitude to those serving in America’s military and honor those lives that were lost.”
