Sheriff Clarke Says What We're All Thinking About Black Lives Matter

Sheriff Clarke Says What We’re All Thinking About Black Lives Matter

In an appearance on CNN with Don Lemon, Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke explained exactly why Black Lives Matter is not everything they’re cracked up to be. After Lemon suggested that BLM was a movement of peace, Clark challenged him, questioning, “You don’t believe that for one minute, do you?” [tbc_video_embed url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnaXN9tM21Q”] Clarke refuted Lemon’s claims regarding the group by pointing to the fact that after the deaths of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, there have been no riots or protests in support of them. He continued saying,
“I’ve been watching this for two years. I predicted this. This anti-police rhetoric sweeping the country has turned out some hateful things inside of people that our now playing themselves out on the American police officer. I wanna know, with all of the black-on-black violence in the United States of America — By the way, when the tragedies happened in Louisiana and Minnesota, do you know that 21 black people were murdered across the United States? Was there any reporting on that?”
Although the officer never once raised his voice, Lemon was obviously frazzled and made several attempts to quiet him, saying things such as, “let’s keep it down,” and “if we could please keep it civil.” After the host realized that Clarke wouldn’t back down, the network rushed to commercial. Sheriff Clarke gets it right when he calls out the hateful rhetoric that has been pushed by the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s abundantly clear that the movement has inspired recent acts of violence against police officers. When they are shouting in the streets “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon!” and “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? Now!,” how exactly do they promote peace? Instead of promoting reconciliation, Black Lives Matter promotes divisiveness and perpetuates racism. It’s time that more leaders in the Conservative Movement stand up and take a stand against Black Lives Matter so that we can begin to heal as a nation.
