I ate Chick-fil-A today for lunch, and I’m ordering Papa John’s tonight for dinner.

If anymore companies use their free speech to oppose the Obama administration’s proposals, I’m going to look like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Today, Politico reported that Papa John’s CEO and founder John Schnatter opposes ObamaCare because it will cost his company “11 to 14 cents per pizza, or 15 to 20 cents per order from a corporate basis,” more to make a pizza–a cost which will be passed to the consumer with higher pizza prices. 

Schnatter said, “We’re not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our
industry,” and continued, “If Obamacare is in fact not repealed, we will find tactics to
shallow out any Obamacare costs and core strategies to pass that
cost onto consumers in order to protect our shareholders best
interests.”

Pizza businesses aren’t alone. Corporations across the spectrum–including colleges–have said they will have to raise prices to facilitate ObamaCare. Higher prices mean unhappy customers, higher costs, and less jobs. 

America needs to stand with and support businesses who are brave enough to speak the truth about these costs.
