Students selected to participate in the highly-competitiveprogram receive unparalleled educational opportunities andbenefits.
Young America's Foundation's interns attend signatureconferences and seminars, free of charge. They hear fromprofessors, Nobel Laureates, acclaimed authors, public policyanalysts, and other dynamic speakers who help deepen theirunderstanding of policy matters involving individual freedom, astrong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values.
Interns have the exclusive opportunity to introduce guestspeakers, often before a national C-SPAN audience, at theseprograms. This memorable experience provides aonce-in-a-lifetime opportunity for student leaders to develop anddeliver a short public address.
It is no wonder interns often tell us they learn more from ourprograms in one day than they do during an entire semester atschool!
In addition to participating in conferences and seminars, interns learn invaluable skills working under the direction of ouroffice staff.
Our experienced staff oversees the training of interns in anumber of areas, including policy research, analysis, andwriting. We devote considerable resources to helping studentsimprove their skills in these areas that employers often report arelacking in prospective hires.
