Reagan Childhood HomeWe've all witnessed university professors trying to erase or revise President Reagan's achievements.   Now, the University of Chicago has no second thoughts about eradicating President Reagan's childhood.

Ronald Reagan's boyhood home in Hyde Park in Chicago is an apartment in a six-flat building on East 57th Street Maryland avenue. It's full of history from Ronald Reagan's early years, but that doesn't matter to the University of Chicago, who has owned the building since 2004.

Can you imagine if this were Barack Obama's childhood home?  Or Bill Clinton's or FDR's?  The federal government would have acted immediately to save it as a national monument.

In fact, the University of Chicago is currently lobbying for an Obama Presidential Library.

The Left's ignorance and intolerance of historical conservative sites is nothing new.  The Clinton administration refused to protect the Reagan Ranch as a historical landmark. The California state legislature refused to act.   Young America's Foundation stepped in to save the Ranch in 1998 to preserve it for future generations.

The Left will make sure that the next generation has plenty of opportunities to walk on President Obama's so-called "hallowed ground" years from now.

Sadly, young people probably won't have the Reagan boyhood home to learn more about Ronald Reagan-unless, of course, something is done to reverse this immediately.

    • I go to school here, and we need more parking a lot more than we need historic sites.
