foxnation22Levin: Stop Calling the Founders Slaveholders

    Exclusive to Fox News Nation

By Ron Meyer, Young America's Foundation Spokesman

In a short Youtube clip released to promote the upcoming movie, The Conservatives, Mark Levin issues a bold defense of the Constitution and Founding Fathers from its attackers on the Left.

College professors--including those currently in the Obama administration--like to call Constitution an "imperfect" document with "deep flaws." Students taking constitutional law classes at any mainstream universities have heard some form of that statement. I know I did.

The Conservatives, starring Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, Jonah Goldberg, Monica Crowley, Dr. Walter Williams, Steve Moore, and Peter Schweizer, offers a dynamic alternative message promoting the values of the Constitution to college students across the nation.

In the short Youtube clip released today, Mark Levin says "the Left, the statists, the utopians-whatever you want to call them-reject the Constitution, they fight the Constitution, they dismiss the Constitution. And,  they dismiss the framers, the authors of the Constitution… as throwbacks, as slaveholders and so forth."

"What those men did in that time, is they created the most free society on the face of the earth."

To watch Mark Levin and the other stars of The Conservatives, visit TheConservativesMovie.com. The movie is available to the general public and is free for students.

    • Anything Levin is in... I am all for! His logic and reasoning are consistantly flawless. Sounds like a must see!

    • These were all great men and the Constitution is the greatest piece of work since the Bible. Most of the founding fathers were slaveholders though. That was just the way it was back then. i don't begrudge them. What is Mark's problem with this fact?

    • Right on the money !!

    • I agree with Ken Ross - If we don't toss the vast majority of the liberal left and liberal right out of office along with the imposter-in-chief this November, the suction sound you will hear will be all of the wealth of the United States going to a foreign country. There will not be $$$ left in this country to support the slaves to entitlements --- Greece and Spain are watching they will see what rioting in the streets really is.

    • Because the left uses that phrase to diminish their accomplishment for this country.

    • I've read Liberty and Tyranny. I've heard Mr. Levin speak on this issue: if ever there was a time for a hard look at what's going on in D.C., and this country, IT IS NOW. To Quote Rep. Kelly from PA., this isn't about red or blue, this is about the Red, White, and Blue!! People, we must act NOW. This is, mark my words along with others, a pivitol point in U.S. History and our Constituition.

    • I like Mr. Levin, and what's in the video is all true. However, I feel suckered. The title is, "Stop Calling the Founders Slaveholders." I hoped to hear some substantiation for that command, but the video contained none. AOL does that all the time: sucker you into clicking on a link and then giving you a story that the link misrepresents, sensationalizes, or even describes in a way that makes you think it's a different story than what they linked to yesterday. Point is, please don't put up a headline that doesn't describe the video.

    • @Richard &Rich- I get what you are saying, but take an extra look. A publication title must sensationalize, but be germain to the content. And why worry about the founders being called slave holders? Mark has selected a perfect example of how the left misdirect. It is like subliminal messaging. The left calls our founders slaveholders. Of all the history that could define our founders, why choose this? Because, today's society abhors slavery. If you abhor the practice you abhor the practitioner, and dismiss any good that the practitioner has done. Therefore, the Constitution cannot be good. It was made by a bunch of rich slave holders furthering their own interests. This is the weapon if the left. How do we fight it? Just like Mark Levin. You get in their faces and shout the truth. Our founders had just cime through horrific loss and sacrifice of a war against superior forces. Our Declaration of Independence decared our founders commitment that all men are equal. Our Constitution was the road map to abolish slavery. Thomas Jefferson and George Mason were two of the several founders that believed slavery must be abolished. Both owned slaves. Let me ask. If you were a rich man in a time and culture that practiced abusive slavery, What would you do? I would buy slaves and create a haven.

    • Keep up your liberal treading on this Nation and we will take you beyond your worst expectations. This is a promise of what our way of life means to those who share the founders beliefs and vision of our country. Many of us have no issue with shedding our blood or preferably the blood of tyrants and rd instigating thugs, entitled weak parasites sucking dry the very system they hate. We will eliminate your desesed minds concurrent with the elimination of you and your antics. So consider yourselves warned as hell is coming for you. Don't Tread On Me !
