Kate Edwards is a program officer of chapter services for Young Americans for Freedom. Originally from Swindon, England, she moved with her family to America when she was young for her father’s career. She witnessed firsthand through her father’s dedication how hard work and patience leads to success in this country.
Kate is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. During her time there, she chaired the conservative club, which was the only of its kind on campus. She also founded and chaired Panthers for Life, the first Pro-Life organization at UWM. Her conservative activism led to a summer internship in Washington DC, where she worked for Students for Life of America, Susan B. Anthony List and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.
Kate was first introduced to Young America’s Foundation when she attended CPAC her freshman year of college. Working with Young America’s Foundation, she planned events such as the 9/11 Never Forget Project, Freedom Week and No More Che Day, and hosted speakers such as Ben Stein, Ann Coulter and Karl Rove to audiences exceeding 900 each. She also hosted the largest University gathering of conservative candidates for office in Wisconsin. Kate was awarded the 2011 conservative activist of the year for the state of Wisconsin.
