A new White House front group is targeting student government presidents at America's colleges and universities. Sadly, many of them are signing up.
The Obama administration has never stopped pushing their socialist agenda on to students. Now, the National Campus Leadership Council plans on working hand-in-hand with student government leaders to push the administration's talking points.
Front Group Pushing White House Agenda
According to their website, the group was formed, "After seeing the impact of a coalition of 140+ student government presidents for (sic.) around the debt crisis in July 2011, the White House recognized a need for a general group to consult on issues that affect young Americans. The NCLC emerged…" The website states that they are not affiliated with the White House, yet they "work closely" with the Office of Public Engagement. The NCLC site says the Office of Public Engagement "is the embodiment of the President's goal of making government inclusive, transparent, accountable, and responsible." .png?n=1731)
On the NCLC's home page, the group pushes the administration's talking points regarding the Obama administration's American Jobs Act. This is just a turf grass operation for student indoctrination.
A Call to Action
You can check out NCLC’s website to see if your student government president has been suckered into joining this group. Here’s the list: *Current Members, NCLC*
If so, publicly question your student government president about their decision. They were elected to represent all students, not to be a mouth piece for the Obama administration. Ask if the student body president has shared how young people have been hurt by the Obama Administration's policies as shown by Young America's Foundation's Youth Misery Index.
Write an op-ed for your student newspaper or a press release from your chapter questioning your student body president's actions, and make sure to inform Young America's Foundation of the response your receive. Don't hesitate to contact us at (800) USA-1776 for additional advice.
