There is certainly no shortage of opportunities to get your
conservative fix this summer, as Young
America’s Foundation has three events planned to introduce students to
conservative ideas or to advance their understanding of them.
The seminar on Mastering Conservative Rhetoric in the Battle
of Ideas is taking place Wednesday,
June 8 to Saturday, June 11 at the Hyatt
Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. The
rhetoric seminar seeks to train young leaders to master the use of rhetoric to
advance conservative principles. Now in
its second year, this program is open to full-time college students and young
professionals eager to hone their oratory skills and effectively communicate
conservative values to others in their community. For more information on this program and how
to apply, please visit the rhetoric seminar event page.
The National High School Leadership Conference is taking
place Wednesday, July 6 to Saturday, July 9 at the National 4-H Youth
Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland—just outside of Washington,
D.C. Students attending this “Crash-course in Conservatism,” will
talk with some of the Conservative Movement’s brightest minds, meet like-minded
peers from across the country, and even tour the national monuments in our
nation’s capital. Be sure to check out
the National High School Leadership Conference event page for more information and to apply. Be sure to check back often for a list of
confirmed speakers, too!
The National
Conservative Student Conference,
Young America’s signature conference, is
taking place Monday, August 1 to Saturday, August 6 at The George Washington
University in Washington, D.C. Open to
college students or incoming college freshman, this conference brings together
hundreds of students from across the country to hear from the Conservative
Movement’s brightest minds. Students
stay in the dorms at GWU, hear lectures and panels during the day, and attend a
dinner banquet featuring a special guest speaker each night. In its rich 33 year history, the National
Conservative Student Conference has been addressed by the likes of President
Ronald Reagan, columnist George Will, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Attorneys General
John Ashcroft and Ed Meese, and Nobel Laureates Milton Friedman, James Buchanan, and Vernon Smith—just to
name a few! For more information and to
