We are pleased to welcome one of our new Sarah T. Hermann
interns this summer at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara:
Sallie is a rising sophomore at Southern Methodist University
(SMU) in Dallas, TX. She is studying within the SMU Meadows School
of the Arts with journalism and advertising as her leading course
of interest. She has taken leadership positions throughout high
school and college as an Episcopal High School Ambassador (EHS in
Alexandria, VA), Stewardship Committee Leader, member of the Young
Alumni Leadership Program, Young Conservatives Club, Environmental
Club, Bible Study, and member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Sallie holds a passionate interest in the preservation of the
Reagan Ranch and the Conservative Movement. She believes deeply in
Reagan ideas and freedom. She seeks to become fully involved in a
program like YAF after college, using her degree in journalism and
advertising, promoting the ideas of individual freedom, free
enterprise, a strong national defense and traditional values long
after she graduates. Aside from learning and working, she enjoys
painting, drawing, being outdoors and animals.
Sallie is eager to support Young America's Foundation's mission through her experience at this schoolhouse for Reaganism.
She is excited to grow from this internship opportunity, meet
like-minded peers, become a voice for YAF and reach out to the
rising generation of young people.
