• Speakers on Campus April 2014Stars of the Conservative Movement visited campuses from Massachusetts to California addressing packed halls of students. April is typically one of the busiest months of the year for Young America's Foundation's campus lecture program, and this year is no exception. Throughout the month, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Charles Krauthammer, Herman Cain, John Stossel, and many other leaders addressed students on a wide variety of topics, including Obamacare, free enterprise, and the Second Amendment.
The University of Arizona Young Americans for Freedom chapter hosted Foundation alumna and New York Times bestselling author Katie Pavlich to a packed hall of students. Immediately before the event, university administrators employed a common tactic to derail the event by changing the room the YAF chapter previously reserved for the event. Despite this leftist trick, the event was filled to capacity.
Pulitzer Prize winner Charles Krauthammer spoke to students and community members at Cornell University. The Fox News contributor addressed Obamacare, which he says has most profoundly changed the trajectory of medicine. Krauthammer told the audience he believes Obamacare will not survive because it is unsustainable. "Obamacare is not a good solution," he commented.

Speaker Newt Gingrich spoke to a standing-room-only crowd at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. He discussed how Ronald Reagan was a transformational figure and the future of conservatism. Speaker Gingrich explained, "There is an opportunity to create a conservatism that brings us together…to develop a better future and to talk through the kind of solutions that are so powerful...I hope that will be the nature of conservatism over the next 20 years."

As part of the Harold Simmons Free Enterprise Lecture Series, former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain spoke to a packed hall at Harvard University, and Fox Business Channel host John Stossel spoke to students at Providence Academy in Minnesota.
Other events during the month of April included Ann Coulter's lectures at the University of Minnesota and the University of Notre Dame, Dinesh D'Souza's appearance at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, Karl Rove's address at Fort Hays State University, Lt. Col. Allen West's remarks at DePaul University, author Kate Obenshain's lecture at Highland High School (Ohio), and Attorney General John Ashcroft's speech at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

• I begged and pleaded for Ann Romney to get her husband off his duff, go to the high schools and colleges to speak TO not AT the students. Find out their goals and aspirations, ? & answer period. Just let them see that the guy was real, not plastic, and had ideas on how to better our nation.

• Up to this very day I still do not understand why my yogneur brother chun see shifted from his former ACS, a very established school, which many would like to be in, to a brand new junior college without noticeable achievements, and worse he didn't even know what was installed for him in this new school. Perhaps he liked the idea of being in the first batch of students, somekind of a pioneer, attending the first Singapore junior college, and to be recorded down in Singapore educational history as such, not realising then that the current PM was also in his class. Surprisingly, my father an old ACS boy was in favour of chun see's shift to this new school.

• True, sometimes human bevaihor is highly unpredictable. If a person studies in a same school since primary right up to secondary level, boredom could set in -meeting same students, teachers, principal, eating in same canteen, sharing the same school culture, looking at same premises, worst seeing the same people you do not like to see, and so on. If this sort of things drain off your enthusiasm and replaces it with staleness, it is time for you to head for the exit. xhnekxd [link=]gsgttowzptm[/link]

• Hi Chun See, yes, I remember the oarignil flyover that used to run perpendicular to the present Adam Road flyover. My secondary school and JC were around the area and I used to dread the construction of the present underpass and the demolition works because the traffic there could get pretty bad back then.Ah, I have never tried the ice kacang at Adam Rd Hawker. I only went there once with my JC classmate. zrwwfffrm [link=]nvltfasxuce[/link]
