Morgan Shields, Staff Attorney
Morgan helps to ensure compliance and sound practices in all aspects of the Foundation’s activities. She reviews and advises the Foundation on contracts, documents, and educational materials.
Morgan is in charge of running the Foundation’s Charitable Gift Annuity program. She also works closely with the development team to help supporters advance their ideas while achieving key tax objectives. She helps keep supporters and their legal and financial advisors apprised of key changes in federal tax, estate, and charitable giving laws.
Morgan is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. She acquired her Juris Doctor in 2013 from George Mason University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from LaGrange College. She is currently pursuing her LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
