Ron Meyer, Program Officer
Ron Meyer is a program officer for Young America’s Foundation and the originator of the Youth Misery Index. He's appeared on Fox News, CNN, and GBTV, and his writings appear frequently in The New York Post, Washington Times, Christian Science Monitor, Yahoo! News, Human Events, Townhall, and the Daily Caller.
Before joining the team, Ron began his conservative activism at Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, as the conservative columnist for the Principia Pilot and host of We the People Show on Principia Internet Radio.
Ron’s interest in conservatism boomed after attending Young America’s Foundation’s National Conservative Student Conference (NCSC). Through networking at various Foundation conferences, Ron hosted Congressmen Paul Ryan, Joe Wilson, and Connie Mack; Andrew Breitbart; Foundation Vice President Kate Obenshain; Reagan Ranch Presidential Scholar and Governor George Allen; and others on his radio show at Principia College.
Ron’s interest in radio led him to intern at Radio America through the Foundation’s National Journalism Center (NJC) in the summer of 2009. The following winter, he completed NJC’s program as an opinion columnist at the Santa Barbara News-Press. One of Ron’s op-eds highlighting union corruption in the city’s elections led to an organized protest outside the News-Press office building.
After NJC, Ron became a columnist for Human Events and the Daily Caller, publishing dozens of articles on youth-related issues. After graduating from Principia College, Ron joined the team at Young America’s Foundation.
