
Jason Barbour, Director of Development
Jason Barbour is the director of development at Young
America’s Foundation. In this leadership
role, Jason helps individuals achieve their philanthropic goals of conveying
the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise,
and traditional values to our nation's youth.
In 2000, Jason joined the Young America’s leadership team as
the director of donor relations at the Foundation’s National Headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. After a year of coordinating events and
visiting supporters around the country, Jason transferred to Santa Barbara, California
to serve at the Reagan Ranch as the national director of development.
For nearly five years, Jason hosted hundreds of supporters
for private visits to the Reagan Ranch, worked closely on the acquisition and
construction of the Reagan Ranch Center, and coordinated the successful
President Club Weekends and Rawhide Circle Retreats at George Washington’s
Mount Vernon, Theodore Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill, Winston Churchill’s
Chartwell, and Ronald Reagan’s Rancho del Cielo.
In September 2005, Jason transitioned to a new assignment
with Young America’s Foundation. Based
back in his home state of North
Carolina, he heads the regional efforts serving as
the liaison to Young America’s Foundation supporters.
Jason is an alumnus of the Foundation's 1994 National
Conservative Student Conference and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
political science from the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1997. Prior to joining Young America’s Foundation,
Jason served as the director of donor relations at the Leadership Institute.
Jason lives in Greensboro,
North Carolina, with his wife,
Stacey, and their two sons, Ethan and Hudson.
