About Richard Allen
Richard V. Allen, former national security advisor to President Reagan, is Senior Fellow at The Hoover Institution and co-chair of the bipartisan Committee for Human Rights in North Korea. He was Reagan’s chief foreign policy advisor 1977-80, and also directed foreign policy affairs for the Nixon campaign of 1968, then served twice in the Nixon White House in national security affairs and international economic and trade policy. He is also a member of the advisory board of The Center for Strategic and International Studies, and was one of the original staff at CSIS at its launch in 1962, and has been a member of the Defense Policy Board
