This weekend in Washington, D.C. marked the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where the top leaders of the conservative movement spoke and more than 10,000 attendees networked and became more involved in activism.
Young America's Foundation hosted a congressional briefing with Reps. Darrell Issa and Mike Pence that was a hit. Video of Issa is available here. We also had a luncheon, sponsored by Eagle Publishing founder and chairman Thomas Phillips, which featured best-selling author and former White House speech writer Marc Thiessen. Thiessen discussed the interrogation methods used by the United States against al Qaeda and other terrorists, which are not torture.
The events wrapped up on Friday night with a sold-out reception with best-selling author and popular Foundation campus speaker Ann Coulter. More than 400 students listened to a round-up of current events with Coulter's trademark wit. She stayed after to greet attendees personally and sign her books and posters.
