  • The Obamacare Headache Continues: Another Day, Another Delay

3/26/2014 9:00:17 AM Posted by Ashley Pratte

ObamacareDelayTHLast night sources reported that the White House made the decision to extend Obamacare's March 31 enrollment deadline.  This news didn't come as a shock to many since there have been so many delays, mistakes, and failures with this disastrous law and its rollout.

The reason for the extension is for those who are "struggling" with the enrollment process.  This just goes to show just how unprepared the administration was in implementing Obamacare.  The White House continues to make accommodations for its failures instead of fixing the fundamental problems.

Throughout the past four years the merits of Obamacare have been touted by liberal progressives but the reality of the rollout has been quite different.  Four years ago it never would've been guessed that over six million people would lose their insurance or that only 25 percent of young people would enroll.

The Obama administration and liberals nationwide completely misjudged Obamacare and irresponsibly passed a law that has only worked to the detriment of many Americans.  The White House made a grave error in assuming that Obamacare would be popular among the country's millennials, expecting that they wouldn't realize they were faced with picking up the hefty tab.

Well, yet again the White House has proved to the American people that they are incapable of handling this monstrosity of a law.  Obamacare has caused nothing but hardship for the very people it intended to help as well as businesses, doctors, and employers.  The massive headache associated with the rollout of Obamacare is only perpetuated by extending the deadline.

The deadline extension does nothing to help those who have lost insurance or who can't afford healthcare, it only aims to serve the administration to allow them to hopefully meet their enrollment requirement.  This deadline extension is purely out of desperation rather than to the benefit of the American public.

    • While this article goes above and beyond to emphasize the Administration's difficulties in implementing the Affordable Care Act it fails to note how the Right has wasted time on votes to overturn the ACA that they were certain would go nowhere. The time and money wasted on those votes could have and SHOULD HAVE been spent on digging in to fix the details of this law. It is obvious that the Right would rather sling mud than act in the interest of the majority of the American people.
