On August 13,  2013, Young America's Foundation will gather with the men and women of the Reagan Revolution  to celebrate the anniversary of President Reagan's historic 1981 tax cut and discuss the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative organizations. To highlight the importance of this growing scandal, the Foundation will host leaders including American Center for Law and Justice  Executive Director Jordan Sekulow, Tea Party Patriots Co-Founder and National Coordinator Jenny Beth Martin, and Linchpins for Liberty President Kevin Kookogey to discuss how to reign in the power of the federal government.

In addition to supporters, students, and featured panelists, Young America's Foundation has invited representatives from local organizations who have been targeted by the IRS to participate in the event. Invited guests include Dr. Karen Kenney from the San Fernando Valley Patriots who testified before the House Ways and Means Committee in June regarding this issue.

President Reagan reflected that the only thing that would have given "the long-suffering American taxpayers" more relief than the 1981 tax cuts would be "sending the Internal Revenue Service on a permanent holiday."

"Three decades after Ronald Reagan signed the historic 1981 Economic Tax Recovery Act, the ever-expanding role of the federal government continues to infringe upon the liberty of the people it governs," said Andrew Coffin, director of the Reagan Ranch. "This event will highlight what President Reagan knew: 'government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem.'"

On August 13, 1981, Ronald Reagan signed what is still the largest tax cut in American history at Rancho del Cielo. This single act ushered in the longest period of peacetime economic growth the country has ever experienced.

Invited guests should arrive for registration at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara by 10:30 a.m. Group transportation will be provided from the Center to Rancho del Cielo to enjoy a barbecue luncheon on the front lawn of the Reagan Ranch. In addition to the formal program, guests will have the opportunity to walk in President Reagan's footsteps during open-house tours of the historic Presidential property.

    • You don't reign in the feds, you get to the state level and pass legislation to nullify every unconstitutional act and law that has been passed. This is the constitutional duty of every state. Stand on the 10th Amendment and do not waiver.
