Last
Wednesday, Young America’s Foundation continued educating
students on the lasting accomplishments of Ronald Reagan with the “Reagan 100
Forum: Why He Was a Great President and a Great Man.”
The
Capitol Hill event featured four distinguished Reagan Officials: Frank J.
Donatelli, Assistant to the President on
Political and Intergovernmental Affairs; Ken
Cribb, Assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs; Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Speech
writer for President Ronald Reagan; and Mari
Maseng Will, Communications Director for Ronald Reagan.
Ronald Reagan’s favorite national
newspaper, Human Events, assigned
National Journalism
Center Intern Sarah Saunders to cover the forum. Here’s an excerpt from her
article:
“Former
staff members of the Reagan administration highlighted key themes of Ronald
Reagan’s … philosophy to a packed room of Washington, D.C., interns, in
commemoration of the former President’s 100th birthday on Wednesday. The
four former employees spoke in glowing terms of his philosophy, governing style
and personality, but the focus of the Young America’s Foundation-sponsored
event was how young conservatives today can use Reagan’s principles to
transform the United States.”
