President Barack Obama will visit North Carolina State University on Wednesday, September 14, in an attempt to sell his failed policies to America’s youth. And—to no surprise—NC State University administrators are not only promoting attendance to the event, the administration is encouraging professors to excuse students from classes.
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Warwick A. Arden announced in a message posted on NC Stats’s website that “faculty are encouraged to allow excused absences, as appropriate, for students attending the event.”
Youth unemployment is at a 30-year high, youth job market participation is at an all-time low, and 85 percent of college grads are being economically forced to live with their parents. It’s clear that Obama’s stimulus bill, Wall Street bailouts, and government takeover of health-care have limited college students’ chances of perusing happiness.
Yet, the leftist administrators on campus continue to align themselves with President Obama’s failed jobs policies.
The President speaks on college campuses one out of every 12 days. Instead of encouraging students to go hear another speech, college administrators should encourage exposure to free markets economics; that way, soon-to-be grads can understand why the job market is so bad.
