We are looking for interns who are motivated, ambitious, dedicated to the Conservative Movement, and are eager to accept responsibility. As a Young America's Foundation intern you will be on the front lines of the Conservative Movement.
You will leave having an understanding of how a prominent conservative organization operates.
Many of our interns go on to accept a full-time position with the Foundation. Interns-turned-staff include Vice President Patrick Coyle, Conference Director Roger Custer, Program Officer Ana Lightle, and Development Officer Meredith Ramsey are a few!
A Young America's Foundation internship is a great way to show us your talents and get your foot in the door of the Conservative Movement.
Interns are provided with a $1,200 monthly stipend, but you must find your own housing and have access to a car. Click here for an intern application. Applications are due April 1 for the summer term, August 1 for the fall term, and December 1 for the spring term. Available positions are:
Headquarters Internships, Herndon, Virginia
Our Sarah T. Hermann summer interns are responsible for the planning and execution of our conferences, campus lectures, and other events. You will:
- Organize an event on Capitol Hill
- Stay on location during the conferences
- Participate in the programming
- Help with registration
- Compile conference materials
- Suggest designs for the popular conference t-shirt
- Introduce speakers (some air LIVE on C-SPAN)
- Write columns that may be published in online or print publications
In addition, our team will help determine your skills and interests, and we'll find projects that suit your talents. The opportunities are endless!

Reagan Ranch Center Internships, Santa Barbara, California
As an intern at the Reagan Ranch Center, you will come in contact with the life and values of one of the greatest presidents of the 20th century. You will experience first hand the core beliefs that Ronald Reagan held as well as work to preserve his beloved Rancho Del Cielo.
You will:
- Work at the Ranch and see first-hand what it takes to preserve and maintain a presidential property
- Meet important conservative activists as well as influential supporters of the Conservative Movement
- Lead tours of the Reagan Ranch as well as host events at this historic presidential site.
- Research the current and controversial topics of the day
- Work directly with our development team to cultivate supporter relationships as well as lend valuable help in organizing and planning supporter events
