  • Attend a British Conservative Conference!

    For the pastLondon several years, Young America’s Foundation has had a special relationship with the Young Britons’ Foundation, our friends across the pond.

    This December - from midday on Friday, 10 December to lunchtime on Sunday, 12 December - YBF will be hosting its seventh Activist Training Conference called YBF7 at Oxford College in England.  The conference will be attended by the brightest, most able and hardest working young conservatives in Britain and it will be addressed by leading public policy and conservative movement figures including Daniel Hannan.

    YBF would also like to offer as many other US students the chance to attend YBF7 on payment of the discounted rate of just $400 (a discount only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors). In addition, of course, the students would need to cover their own airfare ($650, or less with student discounts).

    It may be that the students will wish to stay longer than 3 nights in Britain. To that end, YBF is able to offer an enhanced and extended programme at an additional cost of $595.  This program - running from Sunday, 12 December through Friday, 17 December would encompass the following:

    * Drinks & Private Tour of the Houses of Parliament;

    * Private Drinks Reception and Tour of London's historic Guildhall;

    * Exclusive Tour of Kensington Palace;

    * See a Show on the West End;

    * Flight in a private capsule on the London Eye;

    * Sightseeing Cruise on the River Thames;

    * Bus Tour of London's Historic Monuments and Sights;

    * Transfers, Transportation & Accommodation.

    YBF considers its relationship with YAF to be integral to the success of the project to restore Thatcherism to its rightful place in political discourse in Britain. Echoing Ronald Reagan's admonition that "freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction", Lady Thatcher once said:

    "We who are living in the west today are fortunate. Freedom has been bequeathed to us. We have not had to carve it out of nothing; we have not had to pay for it with our lives. But it would be a grave mistake to think that freedom requires nothing of us. Each of us has to earn freedom anew in order to possess it. We do so not just for our own sake, but for the sake of our children, so that they may build a better future that will sustain over the world the responsibilities and blessings of freedom.”
