  • Young Conservatives to Learn Leadership Skills

FolsomRecently, President Obama told graduating high school students, “Don’t make excuses.” Young America’s Foundation will host its annual National High School Leadership Conference, June 23 to June 26, at the National 4-H Conference Center just outside Washington, D.C. High school students from 30 states will convene in the nation’s capital to learn about leadership skills that the ever-blaming President Obama does not possess.

This conference serves as a unique opportunity for conservative high school students to learn about conservative ideas that are not found in a high school setting. Further, this conference gives students the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals from all over the country.

The Washington Times reported previously that Young America’s Foundation’s conferences are “some of the largest and longest-running conferences geared toward the advancement of the conservative movement among high-school students,” and this conference will continue that tradition.

All week, students will learn about leadership skills, as well as individual freedom, free enterprise, patriotism, and traditional values from conservative speakers including:

    • Stephen Moore, editorial board member for the Wall Street Journal
    • Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor at National Review
    • Rebbeca Hagelin, author of 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family
    • David Bossie, president of Citizens United
    • Tim Goeglein, vice president at Focus on the Family
    • Congressman Jim Jordon, representing Ohio’s 4th District
    • Bay Buchanan, CNN commentator and president of The American Cause

Many other speakers are scheduled to speak throughout the conference. There is still very limited space available. If you are interested in attending the conference, contact Roger Custer at 1-800-USA-1776.
