Several new speakers have been added to the line-up at Foundation summer conferences.
At the National High School Leadership Conference, you can hear from Rebecca Hagelin.
She has championed the pro-family message in both
Washington and around the nation for some 25 years, educating parents
and civic organizations on how to understand the media culture and its
affect on families. She is the President and CEO of Rebecca Hagelin
Communications and Marketing, LLC. Her company specializes in talk
radio ad buys, comprehensive communications, public relations and
marketing services, as well as education on the media industry. Hagelin
is the Senior Communications Fellow at The Heritage Foundation.
She also writes for the Washington Times, Townhall.com, PatriotPost.US, Crosswalk, and other Web sites
and newspapers around the country.
At the Northeast Conservative High School Conference, you can hear from Dr. Larry Schweikart.
He is a professor at the University of Dayton, frequent commentator on
Fox News Channel, and best-selling author of many books, most notably The Patriot's History of the United States and 48 Liberal Lies About American History.
Interestingly, Schweikart used to be a rock band drummer who opened for
"Steppenwolf." He brings a unique perspective to American history and
will talk about common lies that are told by professors.
At the National Conservative Student Conference, you can hear from Dr. Robert George.
Professor George is the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and
Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and
Institutions at Princeton University. He has served on the President's
Council on Bioethics and
as a presidential appointee to the United States Commission on Civil
Rights. He is a former Judicial Fellow at the Supreme Court of the
United States, where he received the Justice Tom C. Clark Award. His
books are widely read, including
Embryo: A Defense of Human Life.
