Chris Gillott
(2000) was promoted to Chief of Staff for the Division of
Administration in the office of Governor Bobby Jindal in Louisiana.
Previously, Gillott served as an economic advisor to the Governor. He
is also an MBA candidate at Columbia University.

Lindsay Boyd (2003) is now publicity director at the Independent Institute in California.

Alexa Moutevelis (2004) recently left the RNC to become the Director of New Media at Citizens United.

Austin Weatherford (2004) is legislative director for Congressman Charles Djou, representing the 1st district of Hawaii.

Lauren Daugherty
(2005) spoke at the National Conservative Student Conference on a
panel discussion about ROTC and students rights. She also was published
in National Review Online with her column about Elena Kagan’s

Charles Mitchell (2005) accepted a position as vice president and COO of the Commonwealth Foundation of Pennsylvania, the Keystone State’s free market think tank.

Jessica (Koebensky) Jensen
(2005) was married on April 10, 2010 in Washington, D.C., to Austen
Jensen, senior legislative assistant to Congressman Patrick McHenry.
She is assistant to the president at Young America’s Foundation.

Orit Sklar (2006) was featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and
spoke at the National Conservative Student Conference in tribute to
David Horowitz, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the
event. Ruth Malhotra (2006) also spoke at the dinner banquet along
with Ed Feulner, Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator Jon Kyl, and
Congressman Michele Bachmann, Ed Royce, and Jack Kingston.

Lindsey Miranda
(2006) works for America's Health Insurance Plans in Washington, D.C.
doing business development. She lives in Arlington, Virginia and is
engaged to Daniel Canaley, who attended the University of Illinois.

| Daniel Wanke (2006) has accepted an invitation to sing with the Congressional Chorus
in Washington, D.C. for the 2010-2011 season. He is an Analyst in the
Government Affairs and Regulatory Affairs section of The Surety &
Fidelity Association of America.

Brittany Farrell
(2007) is currently serving as the Associate Director of Policy for
the North Carolina Family Policy Council. She married Brian Makely, a
mechanical engineer from Raleigh, NC, in October 2009 and they are
expecting a daughter in March 2011.

Michael Carter
(2008) is founder, president, and CEO of Strive for College, a
nonprofit group dedicated to helping low-income students enroll in the
college of their choice. He is a graduate of Washington University in
Saint Louis.

Dennis Lennox
(2008) was recently named co-chairman of Yes on Proposal 1, which
supports a Michigan constitutional convention. Lennox currently serves
as the elected drain commissioner of Cheboygan County. He chaired
Campus Conservatives during his time as a student at Central Michigan
University.

Andrew Meeusen
(2008) works part-time as a substitute teacher in Mesa, Arizona and was
accepted at the University of Arizona to pursue his Master's degree in
Information Resources and Library Science beginning December 2010. He
is former Vice-Chairman of the Northern Arizona University College
Republicans and former Communications Director for the Arizona
Federation of College Republicans.

Barry Lucier
(2009) is clerking in the District and Superior Courts in York County,
Maine. He was recently accepted into the graduate studies program for
Public Policy and Management at the University of Southern Maine. He
also works hard on grassroots activism for local causes.

Adam Tragone (2009) is the Managing Editor of Human Events, the nation's leading conservative weekly.

Katie Poedtke
(2010) was promoted to Legislative Correspondent in the Washington,
D.C. office of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. She started working
there in July as a Staff Assistant, after graduating from Fordham
University in May.

| Dave Bossie Receives Alumni of the Year Award
Citizens United
President Dave Bossie received the 2010 alumni of the year award from
Young America’s Foundation for his outstanding efforts to advance
freedom. Bossie was a leader in the Supreme Court case Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission,
which allows for greater freedom of speech. He is also a leading
producer of films on a range of subjects that can be found at http://www.citizensunited.org/.

| Alumni Board Meets
Young America’s Foundation is pleased to announce the
formation of the Alumni Board of Directors. The mission is “to grow
the Conservative Movement by increasing alumni referrals of current
students, recognizing alumni who are excelling in their careers,
overseeing networking opportunities, and building financial support from
alumni.”
Members include Chuck Cunningham, Elizabeth Graham,
Kathryn Lopez, Jonathan Miller, Orit Sklar, Ruth Malhotra, Matt Schenk,
