HERNDON, VA - Young America's Foundation (YAF) has released new poll findings*, with 53% of young people between the ages of 18-24 outraged by the NSA data collection.  Millennials live in an age of instantaneous technology where they have access to an entire world of information at their fingertips.  Young people value their privacy and are concerned with recent federal government scandals.

The poll also found that 50% of young people are bothered by the lies surrounding Obamacare and 46% are upset by the IRS targeting of groups and organizations that disagree with President Obama.

Millennials are concerned with a constellation of issues that have plagued the federal government over the past year.  Overall, 62% of young people are less confident in the federal government after the botched rollout of Obamacare.  Obamacare along with these recent scandals are having a serious impact on young people's perception of the administration as well as an unfavorable view of big government programs.

    • Sept. 11 2001 was (almost now) 13 years ago. That makes the respondents of this poll ages five to 13 at that moment in our history. Little does this group remember about the measures President Bush put into place with Homeland Security/NSA or the misguided aggression on Iraq in 9/11's name. Conservatives of all ages would light into any President who allowed another major terrorist strike on the U.S. yet they fail to acknowledge the balancing act of gathering the appropriate amount of information vs. complete privacy.
